1. What this is

This policy is part of the terms of service between you and Ysbadden Group, doing business as Ansvora. It says what an Ansvora line may be used for. If something is not listed here but is plainly of the same kind, treat it as covered.

2. Your business only

You run a line only for a business you own or are authorized to represent, under that business’s real name. You do not run a line in the name of another person or business, a government body, or a brand you do not hold, and you do not forward a phone number you are not entitled to forward.

3. Uses we refuse

  • Anything unlawful where you are, where your callers are, or where we are.
  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, or repeated unwanted contact with anyone.
  • Fraud, scams, deceptive sales, fake urgency, or misleading callers about who they have reached or what they are buying.
  • Impersonating another person, business or authority, or letting callers believe the line is something it is not.
  • Collecting card numbers, bank details, government identifiers, passwords, or health or other sensitive personal information from callers.
  • Emergency, crisis, suicide-prevention, medical-triage or safety-monitoring lines, or any line where a delayed or missed call could put someone in danger.
  • Medical, legal, financial or other regulated advice, or any use that needs a licence the business does not hold.
  • Robocalling, telemarketing, mass or automated outbound calling or texting, or any use that breaks telemarketing, do-not-call or consent laws.
  • Services directed at children, or content that is sexual, hateful, or that promotes violence.
  • Debt collection, unless you tell us first and we agree in writing.

4. What you may not make it say

The receptionist follows your instructions, so your instructions carry the rules. You do not instruct it to:

  • claim to be a person, deny being automated, or dodge the question when a caller asks;
  • turn off the recording-and-automation notice where the law where you or your callers are requires it;
  • state a price, a discount, a guarantee, a delivery date or an availability you have not set and cannot keep;
  • promise medical, legal or financial outcomes, or give advice of those kinds;
  • disparage a competitor, or repeat a claim about someone that you cannot back;
  • ask a caller for any of the information in section 3.

5. Your callers

You treat the slips as what they are — a caller’s personal details, given to reach your business. You use them to call the person back and serve them, you do not sell or rent them, and you honor a caller’s request to be forgotten by passing it to us. Where the law where you or your callers are requires notice that a call is recorded or answered by an automated system, you keep the notice on.

6. The service itself

You do not probe, overload, reverse-engineer or interfere with the service, this site, our numbers or our providers; you do not try to extract the receptionist’s instructions or the underlying models; you do not resell, share or sublicense a line; and you do not use automated tools to submit our forms.

7. What we do about it

If we believe a line is being used against this policy, we may pause it at once and tell you why, ask you to fix the instructions or the use, and restore it when it is fixed. For a serious or repeated breach — fraud, harassment, impersonation, an emergency line, collecting payment details — we end the service without notice and, where we must, report it. A month ended for breach is not refunded. Where a carrier or provider requires us to act, we act.

8. Reporting

If you believe an Ansvora line is being misused — as a caller, a customer, or anyone else — email [email protected] with the number you called and when. We read every report.
